COMPRAS, DIVERSIÓN, Y POR QUÉ NO… UN POCO DE ARTE/ Georgina Furber

Guernica (1937), de Pablo PicassoJusto en medio de una de las plazas más fancy de Guadalajara (Plaza Andares) y rodeada de las marcas más caras y prestigiosas del mundo (Rolex, Guess, Sfera, Nine West, etc.), encontré una pequeña exposición de apenas nueve cuadros que parecían no tener ningún orden, es decir, había una mezcla de cubismo, arte abstracto, arte barroco, impresionismo, realismo, etc.; y había cuadros de Claude Monet, Salvador Dali, Francisco de Goya, entre otros.
No le encontraba sentido a esa mezcolanza de cuadros, hasta que me di cuenta de que el propósito de dicha exposición era el de recrear El Paseo Del Arte, que es uno de los itinerarios turísticos más importantes del centro histórico de Madrid y que comprende tres museos: el Museo Nacional del Prado, el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía y el Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza.
A mi parecer, esta exposición intentó romper con la cuadrada y conservadora tradición de los museos, ubicándose en un espacio abierto, en un lugar donde se puede hablar en voz alta, a donde las personas van a divertirse y a hacer sus compras. Con eso trato de darle una imagen más pública y accesible al arte, pero que tan pública y accesible puede ser, si está situada en una de las plazas más caras y elitistas de la ciudad?
El propósito de la exposición me pareció muy bueno, tratando de combinar lo cotidiano con el arte, el único problema fue que las personas no mostraron mucho interés en las obras. Es increíble que se les brindara la oportunidad de apreciar y disfrutar nueve de los cuadros más importantes de los museos ya antes mencionados, y que estuvieran más interesados y absortos en las fuetes de la plaza (Yeah!!! mira como salta el agüita!!!).
Las nueve reproducciones de esta exposición estaban muy bien hechas, tenían las dimensiones originales, y hasta parecían ser de la misma antigüedad, pues estaban ligeramente desgastadas. Además me gustaron mucho los cuadros que escogieron, estos fueron: Guernica (1937) de Pablo Picasso, Las Meninas (1656) de Diego Velázquez, El Gran Masturbador (1929) de Salvador Dali, El Puente de Charing Cross (1899) de Claude Monet, La Maja Desnuda (1800) de Francisco de Goya, Habitación de Hotel (1931) de Edward Hopper, Las Tres Gracias (1625-1630) de Peter Paul Rubens, Joven Caballero en un Paisaje (1510) de Vittore Carpaccio, y el Retrato de Giovanna (1488) de Domenico Ghirlandaio. Y por supuesto, en esta exposición no podía faltar una escultura de la invasión que provocó el CowParade en 2007, la vaquita que se coló es una que está decorada con un tablero de serpientes y escaleras, la cual desentona un poco con el resto de la piezas.
